Application are only open from the 1st October to 30th November each year, with a decision made before Christmas

The Crichton Cobbers’ Scholarship gives two trainee youthworkers a grant of up to $5000 to help towards training costs.  The funding comes from an Investment set up in partnership with Youth Alive Trust from capital invested after Crichton Cobbers Property Trust was wound up.

The scholarship must be used for a direct cost of your youthwork training at Youth Alive Trust, such as tuition fees from an educational institution such as Praxis or Ara, plus other direct course related costs such as flights to North Island block courses.

In order to be eligible for the Crichton Cobbers’ Scholarship, you must:

  • be between the ages of 18-29
  • able to commit 1 year to working with Youth Alive Trust on the east of Christchurch
  • complete the online application form, including supplying two referees related your youthwork experience
